Tamed Animals

Tamed Animals is the solo project of Dan Barnett from Denver Colorado, USA. His electronic driven music is backed by modal acoustic guitar chords, strip melodies, wet pianos and drum set. While his voice sounds fragile and his melodies sound mournful, the voids are filled with atmospheres and claustrophobic computer clicks muttering with the heartbreak amid waves of electronic keyboards. The music which is a blend of indie, electronica, post-rock and experimentalism is his own production.  Barnett plays all the instruments, sings, creates all the beats and sounds engineered. He mentions that his trial and error era in the early years of music production, the experiences and music scene he discovered during his time in Berklee College of music, and his influences like Thom Yorke, Sigur Ros and Beck had a great impact on his music. Drawing on his constantly changing and slightly contradictory perspectives, Tamed Animals creates a universe rich with variation and intrigue.
